Tailgate party for OU vs. Texas

The past weekend was a wonderful time.  My scrapbook club allowed me to change our scrapbook night from Friday to a Saturday morning so I could attend the Bethany High School football game.  I was able to watch my son coach and to spend time with our daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.   Since this was the OU-Texas weekend I decided to have a tailgate party with my scrapbook club.

 

 

The table was set up with fresh fruit and dip, as well, as OU plates and napkins. 

 

 

    Each person received their own bottle of water

     and pennant! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Each trash bowl was decorated with magnets for Oklahoma Sooners. 

 

 

 

I so enjoyed spending time with my scrapbook club, getting to eat, and watching OU football.  Stay tuned.  There might be another tailgate party.  You will definitely want to attend! 

 

Phoenix and a Valentine card

WOW!  Leadership came to a close this evening at around 5 PM.  I have had a blast seeing friends, making new friends, and learning so much!!  I have also swapped and am bringing back many wonderful ideas for classes and workshops.

Stampin' UP! has spoiled us these past two days.  We have had door prizes, which I was lucky to win the first one, shopping to purchase some awesome merchandise from the memento hall, and unannounced gifts.

While at Leadership, Stampin' Up! honored all managers and above with a reception.  This reception was held at Corona Ranch and gave us an insight of the hispanic culture.  We were greeted by a mariachi band.  We strolled over the grounds and were able to sample some fantastic hispanic food like quesadias and churros, just to name a few. 

I want to leave you with a Valentine card idea.  This could be also be used to send to a very good friend.

Bella Rosa Paper

  This is a picture of the new Bella Rosa Designer Series Papers that will be in the new fall/winter 2008-2009 idea book and catalog.  It is gorgeous!  It has flowers, polka dots, checkered design, and some muted and solid designs.  The colors for this package of designer series paper are chocolate chip, kiwi kiss, riding hood red, and Pink Pirouette.  I am going to share a project made with this paper.  It is a nugget holder!  You can click on each picture and view a larger version.   Here we go.......

Assemble the following items to complete this project:  snail adhesive, crop-a-dile (CAD), 2 silver eyelets,2 Hershey's nuggets, 2 scallop circles punched out of Bella Rosa Designer Series Paper, 6 " of ribbon, 1-5/16 x 2" piece of kiwi kiss cardstock, 1 x 3" of Bella Rosa Designer Series Paper,and 1-1/4 x 5-1/2" acetate piece.  Cover the two nuggets with the 1 x 3" pieces of Kiwi Kiss DSP.  Using the CAD, punch a 3/8" hole in each of the punched scallop circles.  Using the setting 3C set the 2 eyelets. 

Using snail, attach one of the scallop circles to the kiwi kiss cardstock.  Be sure you have 6 of the scallops attached to the kiwi kiss cardstock.  Attach the other scalloped circle to the other side of the kiwi kiss cardstock.

Using snail adhesive, attach both of the covered nuggets to the kiwi kiss cardstock.

 

Crease the scallop punched circles so they create "sides" for the nuggets.

Attach the acetate strip by putting adhesive on one end.  You will overlap this piece and adhere on top.  The acetate will protect the bottom of the cardstock and will also keep the nuggets protected.

                         

Using the 6" piece of ribbon tie the two scallop circles together on top.  This will cover the clear acetate and make a cute package for the two hershey nuggets.  This  makes a great gift to give anyone!  Who doesn't like chocolate?  Stay tuned for another sneak peek of new product!  Please forgive me for not being able to get the pictures to line up correctly.  Hopefully, I will learn more every day and get better.
