WOW!  Leadership came to a close this evening at around 5 PM.  I have had a blast seeing friends, making new friends, and learning so much!!  I have also swapped and am bringing back many wonderful ideas for classes and workshops.

Stampin' UP! has spoiled us these past two days.  We have had door prizes, which I was lucky to win the first one, shopping to purchase some awesome merchandise from the memento hall, and unannounced gifts.

While at Leadership, Stampin' Up! honored all managers and above with a reception.  This reception was held at Corona Ranch and gave us an insight of the hispanic culture.  We were greeted by a mariachi band.  We strolled over the grounds and were able to sample some fantastic hispanic food like quesadias and churros, just to name a few. 

I want to leave you with a Valentine card idea.  This could be also be used to send to a very good friend.

A leadership swap!

 

This is one of my swaps that I took to leadership in Orlando, Florida.  I apologize for the coloring in the photograph.  The base of the card is riding hood red.  The colors used for cardstock and ink are riding hood red, old olive, and tangerine tango.  I used the new Petal Pizzazz stamp set that will make its debut January 19th.  I used crystal effects and dazzling diamond glitter to add texture to the flowers.  Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon is also used.  I added some paper piercing in two places to add some more texture.  Have a super day.  Just a reminder....the last day to order from the current catalog is January 18th.  If you would like a new 2009 catalog just contact me.  I will be posting more information but I have a class scheduled for January 23rd.  We will be making Valentine cards but these can easily be used for anniversary, wedding, or birthday cards.  The cost of the class is $15.  If you want to reserve your spot please contact me by Monday, January 19th.  Love ya!

I know I am very late but I hope you have enjoyed your 2009 so far.  Life has been very busy and sometimes hectic but I am hoping my life is going to allow more blogging and sharing with you.  I have just returned from Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida.  It was an awesome conference!  I learned so much and saw many friends.  I even had the opportunity to make some new friends.  That is the highlight of being a SU! demonstrator....getting to go to different places and meeting new people and making so many friends.  I am going to share one of my swaps that I made.  The recipe will follow the picture.

   

I started a card similar to this for a convention swap but I never did get them made so I did a little bit of changing and used a different stamp set and made this for leadership.
